"In life, it's not where you go-- It's who you travel with." -Charles M. Schulz.
These two share a love of adventure , travel and long road trips, and picked the stunning Beaverfoot lodge for their wedding day.
In Sing's words-
In sum, Kevan and I have traveled, by car, over 30,000 km together... plus a few thousand kilometers for "little trips" like Calgary-Edmonton, Calgary-Banff, and Edmonton-Jasper. We expect to travel the same distance as the circumference of the Earth by the end of 2015.
A beautiful day and this fun, full of laughter couple!

what an amazing backdrop the Beaverfoot lodge is. Most of the guests had traveled out for the weekend and were staying there, great way for family and friends to get a chance to catch up for more than just one day.
I met up with Kevan and the boys who were trying to decide whether to decorate the arch with flowers or not!

father and son both looked very dapper in their grey suits
As it was so hot, the flowers started dropping pretty quickly- so no flowers was decided on in the end.
The reception area has views of the mountains, and I was blown away with what Sing and Kevan had achieved in one day, all the decorations were made by them! It look amazing. Kevan and Sing share a love of adventure and travel and this was reflected in the maps on the table and the fun games they had for guests.

the girls were getting make up and dresses on. Loved Sing's sparkly shoes
there was even a young hobbit ring bearer! thought I was back in new zealand
I like this photo of Sing highlighted against the trees, waiting for her turn to walk down the aisle
Kevan's face when he sees Sing!
best man checking he has the ring
spot the hobbit
using 2 different lenses and different angles here to make the most of the lovely soft backlight
Sing is originally from China, and she and Kevan had planned a Chinese Tea Ceremony for their parents. It is a beautiful ceremony that shows respect, gratitude and love for parent and grandparents.
Sing and Kevan had made up some brilliant and very entertaining games for their guests. Finding locations on maps for the buffet order, answering questions about the couple, dancing and singing. If the answers were wrong, the guests got to have a drink of some hard liquor! If the question was answered right Sing and Kevan got to have a kiss
the light was looking amazing on the mountains so we popped out for a few more photos
once it was dark, we debated wether or not to play with sparklers, it was very windy, and I was so worried that a spark would land on Sing's dress, or start another forest fire! But it worked out perfectly!!
Thank you Sing and Kevan for one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever got to photograph! Keep road tripping!
Big shout out to Sing's brother! you made a brilliant assistant! fantastic flash holding and shutter firing!
